Solbiati, a linen producer for 150 years and since 2010 an integral part of Loro Piana’s ecosystem, has historical archives composed of 50,000 samples and 10,000 prints, an endless source of creative inspiration.

For such a soft fabric, the first part of our linen story is rather hands-off. It is a notoriously low-intervention plant, requiring no additional irrigation other than that provided by nature. European flax linen is even considered a restorative crop as it improves the very soil in which it’s grown.
